Trace Krug
Trace is currently an MSW candidate at the University of Chicago and is in training to become a licensed mental health clinician. As a career changer, he has a background in the arts, social sciences, and humanities. He completed his BFA degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) and a master’s degree in contemporary art history from Université Lumière Lyon 2 in France, where he lived for four years. Over the span of his career, he has worked extensively with students. He taught English for two years in Nantes, France at a public high school before pursuing graduate studies in Lyon. Upon returning to Chicago, Trace spent three years recruiting international students for SAIC, allowing him to travel all over the world to meet with students and assist them in the university application process. When working with students, Trace is most passionate about igniting their natural curiosity for the topics that most interest them. In his spare time, Trace likes to read, swim, bike, visit museums, play the piano, and see friends around the city.
