Jillian Marino

Jillian earned bachelor’s degrees in secondary education and English with a minor in Spanish from the University of Missouri – Columbia in 2023. She continued her studies at Mizzou online when she began teaching and earned a master’s in learning, teaching, and curriculum in 2024. She has been teaching in Chicagoland since 2023 and has taught all sorts of English — from literacy seminars to Pre-AP and International Baccalaureate classes. Jillian values literacy in all forms — writing stories, essays, arguments, and research and reading news, poetry, novels, and more! Jillian has coached competitive speech and hopes to someday return to supporting the youth theater programs that made her who she is today. Outside of teaching and tutoring, she still loves reading, as well as hiking, crafting, and supporting her school’s activities and teams!
