Michael is a Chicago native who earned bachelor’s degrees in both math (honors) and computer science from Cornell University. He is currently pursuing a PhD in math at the University of Oregon. Michael believes a good tutor is someone who is easy to talk to, adjusts to individual learning styles, and knows how to make even the most challenging concepts understandable. Just as important, he feels learning should be fun even amidst all the grade pressures students feel. Michael’s teaching experience includes being part of a math outreach program to high school students in Ithaca, NY. He also has many outside interests, from basketball to music to theater.
