Matthew Yacoub

Matthew graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.S. in biochemistry with highest honors and a minor in environmental studies. At Michigan, he taught an honors section of organic chemistry and independently tutored first-generation college students. He also has experience tutoring elementary school students in math. In addition to teaching, he has worked in two biochemistry and biophysics research laboratories at Michigan, an organic chemistry laboratory at University College Dublin, and a forest ecology field station with the U.S. Geological Survey. He is dedicated to working closely with students of all ages and parents to develop lesson plans catered to individual learning styles, aiming to help students succeed in the classroom and build strong study habits. In his free time, Matthew loves backpacking, writing and producing music, and playing soccer.
