Ariel Thelander

Ariel has tutored and TA’d for a combined ten years of experience in small-group and one-to-one teaching in the sciences. They previously researched prevention of breast cancer metastasis to bone, greener catalytic chemistry for processing oil byproducts, and chemical targeting of RNA-binding proteins for drugs and diagnostics during their bachelor’s (UCSB) and master’s (Notre Dame) degrees in biochemistry. Ariel believes every student has a unique learning style that we can work to uncover together. Unlocking your best study method(s) will help us approach difficult subjects in a way that is effective for you. Ariel will incorporate feedback from students & parents into lessons because they know adaptive, personalized teaching is needed to get students a deep understanding and control of their own learning in challenging subjects.
