Amanda Sorice

Amanda graduated with high honors from DePaul University in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in secondary history education. While at DePaul, she was involved with everything from giving campus tours to mentoring and teaching college freshmen. Once she started teaching 7th grade, Amanda realized she needed more knowledge about reading instruction to best support her students. She entered DePaul’s Literacy and Specialized Instruction graduate program and learned to provide reading remediation to a wide range of K-12 students. She now teaches AP US History, US History, Psychology, and Criminal Justice to high school students. Amanda is passionate about making sure each student receives equitable, high-quality, and personalized instruction to meet their needs.
