Kelly Lo

Kelly studies linguistics and creative writing at the University of Chicago. Born and raised in Hong Kong, she completed her high school education at Milton Academy in Boston; she has been teaching and tutoring students of all ages since 2016. She enjoys writing poetry and satire inspired by her personal experiences with language, location, and translation, and is the recipient of the Margaret C. Annan Memorial Prize in Poetry, as well as a Gold Key in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. In her free time, she advocates for survivors of sexual violence and experiments with musical composition and instrumentation.
