Elizabeth graduated from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana with a B.A. in Urban and Regional Planning and received her M.Ed in Secondary Education (grades 6-12) with a focus on social studies from DePaul University. She also holds LBS1 and ELL certifications, allowing her to work with special needs students as well as with English Language Learners. Elizabeth spent four years as a special education teacher at two different charter schools in Chicago, teaching math, English and history in co-taught and self-contained settings. Elizabeth’s passion lies in helping students set goals, whether academic or functional, and supporting them in reaching those goals. Her favorite part of teaching is when students have an “a-ha” moment! When she is not working with kids, Elizabeth enjoys traveling, being a dog mom, exploring the city, and spending time with her family and friends.
